Got a funny story to tell!
My joiner asked me if I'd been on TV in June regarding the Edinburgh cycle festival.
"I could have sworn it was you, she looked like you" he said.
Uhm, I asked him if she had an accent, he said yes.
It obviously was @Telemark and he obviously needs to go to Specsavers, but I was oh so flattered ... @Telemark is much slimmer than I am!

Not me ... must have made it up ;-) was nowhere near any TV cameras ...

A bit withdrawn after my period of misfortune, picked up a bit by toddling off for a week or so in north Devon.

Consolato Britannico in Milano, emergency passport, easyjet, airport shuttle bus, road sign that says Motherwell and Hamilton, autopilot taking me into Patisserie Valerie in Glasgow followed by minor breakdown

Not heard from the Italian polis. Don't expect to at this stage.
Although a Kaffenback appeared on the Italian equivalent of ebay yesterday, but it's not mine

First leg pain free week on the bike since early march, getting confidence to increase distances and intensity again. Thinking about a couple of adventures over the next ten days to celebrate , re run some old cc routes

Hopefully and not just a patch up job...supposed to be done by tomorrow...might recce on Saturday...I was planning on going up there tomorrow thats the only reason I checked..glen devon instead

From the map looks a very limited section, the first descent. Sadly not including the second drop to the wee bridge. Least it's something, my tweet ages ago made a difference lol

Doing the Way of the Roses, again, but west to east this time. In Austwick now, heading for Boroughbridge today. Before you ask, it's dry! For now.. It rained most of the night though..

Never made it to B'bridge. Too many big hills and fierce sun plus heat forced me to call it a day at Pately Bridge. Not a bad complaint to have for a change, and there are worse places to camp than Pately Bridge. Onwards tomorrow.....

This afternoon I stopped from the commute home for some shopping.
I was wearing an Irn Bru cap as a cycling cap: we still have loads at work left over from the Commonwealth Games, free for staff to take, so I use them in the garden, for painting and of course for summer cycling.
So this random young man approaches me "I like your hat, man (), hands me a can of Irn Bru!!
I don't drink fizzy juice, Irn Bru in particular is vile, so I gave it to the shopkeeper
