I've still got Star Raiders & the console, along with a few others.
The sequel had amazing graphics and much broader game mechanics (as a youngin' I had nightmares about melting by flying too close to the sun as a direct result of this game), but the actual dogfighting was wave-based on-rails crap. Shame.

Still a better game than Elite Dangerous though...

In sad news , @Edwardoka has had his bike stolen in Albenga , Italy which is looking like it will curtail his tour. Any advice from anyone that I can pass onto him seeking assistance? He has been to police to report it, thinking contacting local cycle clubs or newspapers may be a good bet re keeping an eye out for a unique built bike. Sadly his passport has been stolen too, which local embassy are saying isn't an emergency situation so he is grounded for a few days.

Italian passports have been fingerprinted by the holder for a few years now, in case of an emergency like yours it's quick to get a new one even if you are abroad, as long as you have the money to pay that is.
Are British passports similar? Will you find lot of red tape?
Good luck, and keep your eyes open, maybe you'll find your bike by chance.

Not sure, I think it more likely that I'll get an emergency travel document and have to get a new passport when I'm back in the UK. Just hope it gets dealt with before a certain vote...

Thank you, not much point looking because I'm 60 miles from where the bike was taken...

How did you get there? I would have stayed a couple of days, maybe you would have spotted the bike, or somebody at a cycle shop could have had.
Never mind, as long as you're ok :okay:

Really???
But anybody could live anywhere ... well they most probably do live somewhere
Sounds like a too easy way to enter the UK to me ^_^
He only needs to be able to prove he lives here, and he's headed home. I used a letter from the police on re-entering the country.

Police told me to go to the consulate, so I got the train. If I'd known that it wouldn't open til tomorrow I'd definitely have stayed in the town. Genoa is not a very nice city. (L'odoro di piscio.)
