Hope to get out on the bike next week (tomorrow will be six weeks since my tumble). I tried a brief spin on the turbo last night and can get into a decent position on the handlebars... not fully weight-bearing yet, but much better than it's been. I guess it was too much to hope for that the 3-6 week recovery would be closer to the three than the six but hey ho!

Its one thing to get on the turbo but if your roads are anything like the ones around Edinburgh (and i'm sure they won't be much different) then it will be the road surface, bumps and potholes that will hurt. Wishing you a speedy recovery. :bicycle:

They've been tarring and chipping around here. Just a cosmetic job for Tea in the Park I think. The same old holes and ridges are just hidden underneath now............still feel them on the bike. No doubt once it's all over they will be in an even worse state. Maybe N+1 will need to be a cyclocross. Lol

I hate when they do that or just patch it in places, if it needs done just redo the whole thing (i know this means more money) but least you won't be back out a few months later fixing the same thing again

As colin got a lift home than cycle 6 miles last night in blazing sunshine, can someone second me in barring him frim this thread ?

I done 14 in the morning, 14 on the way home, 7 of which were into the wind, I was tired and very hungry, then realised I had another 6 miles to get my keys again, by this time it was about 7.30, Vicky was close by in Inverkeithing and I said to her if I cycle I'll be home much later so she picked me up :okay:
