HGVs will not be allowed on the bridge until a permanent repair is in place, which will take about six weeks depending on the weather and no further defects being identified.
Quelle surprise! Six weeks, eh? What's the chances that quote might just get pushed aside, and no HGV's will cross until the new bridge opens?
Oh well, the Kincardine route is quite nice and I get paid by the hour, so .......... ^_^

I have been saying the 23rd since they announced the opening of Kincardine route to all traffic from 23rd. Always appeared to me to be best case date, and the 4th was contingency. If 4th has ever been in consideration , then the real estimate would have been two weeks later. Might celebrate with an around the forth on Xmas day :smile:

@Brandane , I expect the bridge to be reopened to you....by end of January.

Anyone want lottery numbers :smile:
