You could have advertised it... Oh the ignominy!

Wellll, we kind of did on the CCE day oot thread but then took it offline - didn't want to break any rules on discussing meet ups etc.

You would have been rather frustrated I suspect, I in particular was incredibly slow due to a) not having been on the bike for 5 weeks and b) losing my legs somewhere after the cafe stop.

You could have chummed me and @Col5632 on our 100k on Saturday - bundle of laughs that was...

:laugh::heat:

THAT wind was just tough going, I defo slept on Saturday night, I don't think that slog from Kirkcaldy prom to Cowden helped one little bit :bicycle:

Back on it today for 11 miles though :bravo:

Planning on a shakedown ride this evening of not more than 5 miles. Want to see how well my jaw reacts to bumpy road surfaces since the only shot I'll get at my December ton will be Boxing Day or the 27th and the roads around Glasgow are terrible at the best of times :headshake:

I couldn't find the holiday timetables from Scotrail on t'interweb so tweeted them as Maddie is working Boxing Day - nae bleddy trains from Fife on Boxing Day - WTF?!?!?

Which means with the bridge being shut it's at least a 2-hour round trip to drop off and pick up - thanks a bunch Scotrail! :cursing:

Silverburn is pollock, just in case he has confused you.

Weather looking good for an xmas day ride this year. Next week looking wet and windy so may manage a few shorter rides then.

@Edwardoka - at least, with your liquid diet regime, you'll be a demon hill-climber now :bicycle: (or soon, once you find yer legs again ! ^_^)

Take care and don't rush into things too soon :stop: and break anything else !

Busses are back on boxing day , I expect bridge to be open this week too
She could always cycle it :whistle:
Both side cycle/pedestrian paths have been closed while the work is on-going, so if the bridge is going to be open before Christmas, that would be ace :hyper::wahhey:, as the In-laws live in Glenrothes and are coming to us for Christmas ! Saves mini-Scooshes** a long drive to collect. :thumbsup:

@Louch - where did you hear this ? Are your jungle drums well tuned ? ^_^

**a relative term - still maxi-Scooshes to certain CC Ecosse folk ... :whistle:
