There, my sig space is no longer a space for trolling or bullying @Fubar and hopefully now it's not subject to arbitrary mod edits

... anyway ...

Yes, definitely Arran this weekend. 26mph tailwinds up the west coast and all that jazz. :bicycle: :wahhey:

Hi guys and girls!
Another shocking "nobbing" episode for me today.
I was stationary on a newly bright red painted ASL, on a roundabout with lights, nobody behind me.
Suddenly I feel strongly nudged from behind  an utter nobber of a woman drove right into me, she refused to acknowledge me, I had to put me and bike on the grassy kerb to inspect for damage, I said "you drove into me!", she just shook her head meaning "no, I didn't", then she drove off!
What a despicable person! :cursing:
Then another nobber taxi driver beeped me on a fast dual carriage way leading to a roundabout, he objected me being in primary on approach to said roundabout!
:cursing::cursing::cursing:
Really, every time I ride to the local Royal Mail depot they want to kill me!

Thanks @snorri :smooch:
My usual routes don't include busy roads, today was a one off ^_^
It is a bit of a revelation and a shock to the system. I don't normally cycle on very busy/town roads but yesterday I had to go on a short section through Perth at commuting time. Was only for about ten minutes but I have to admit I felt quite intimidated and made to feel a bit of a nuisance for daring to hold drivers up even for a few seconds. Hats off to those who contend with that on a daily basis.

Yes, Mo, I often think that if my daily commute had to be exclusively on road I would not do it.
The problem with Glasgow is that there are not many people compared to, say, London. Less cars even at peak times, what you get is busy and fast traffic, which is scary. Busy and slow, stop and start traffic, is not so bad imo.

I have read (and seen Utoob footage) of people who, instead of
lay their bike down in front of the offending vehicle and inspect it there. Prevents the miscreant from driving off before you have time to assess …
yes, in hindsight should have done so, actually the Police was not far away across the road, doing spot checks.
I was a wee bit flustered , this is the first time ever I have had an incident with a car, in 4 years of cycling.
Will be more on the ball in future!

That's a miserable thing to happen.

I presume you're okay, if rather annoyed. Did it do any damage to the bike?
