On a real funny note: I have discovered a dark side in me ... I blame CC ... I'm a bike snob!
Had to ride home on a borrowed bike today because the one I rode into the LBS has to stay there a while.
The borrowed bike is a dirty, gear skipping, brake rubbing, 2 sizes too small for me bso.
Now, all my bikes are tanks of some sort or other, but they are cleanish and in good working order, saddle at correct height.
I was sooo embarrassed on riding the 3 miles home, got skelped by a commuter on a squeaky mb, thought the squeak was coming from mine

Yes looks like an interestingly scenic couple of stages, thinking it might be worth a couple of days holiday and a B&B in eg Melrose to see them.

Can't wait! Need to get that Weds booked as a holiday and round up a posse.
The route looks like it's going over the Rigg and on to Duns via Ellemford as opposed to Longformacus.
It's going to be a tough stage.
