Well that was an interesting ride home ... through rivers and lakes in the dark
The tank's chain will need a bit of TLC once it's stopped dripping

T

Yeah and I decided it was a great night to do 22 miles on my home

Had to put wet shoes on this morning cause they still were not dry  Not cycled in rain like that for a long time :hyper: Part of me enjoyed it though

Have you only got one pair of shoes to wear on the bike? Forgot you live in Scotland?
Big training ride tomorrow :< Hope the weather stays relatively dry and clear as I've lost one of my overshoes and never got round to getting my windbreaker back from the hotel in Arran

60km today - started in nice hazy sunshine, then clouded over and chilly NE wind with light (but persistent rain :rain:) later. Went out to E Lothian and actually had to go up a hill  to Cousland ...

Training for The Tour has started !

its a good event, the first 30 miles are flat and fast, i loved the big climb, hard as nails but good, the second halfof the route you cycle really close to the Loch... you'll fly around the course

Gill and I attempted the climb out of Fort Augustus on cheap hire bikes when we did that boat trip, we got to the first corner and saw it ramp up and were like "eh naw".
I've got a LOT of climbing training to do, my commute is pan flat :bicycle:

you've done enough big cycles with plenty climbs, this route will be not be problem for you....i only came out my big ring once and that was to do the big climb....i felt really good after the big climb, i was on really good form...the sprint at the end is good fun but its got a few wee sharp turns and its on cobbles

I might normally not struggle on this route, but I've got the Bealach na Ba the week before :surrender:
