Just heard on the travel news about some road closed near Drumnadrochit, a 120 mile diversion is in place. Hope you can get through on a bike.
There was ice this morning, a deluge this evening. Maybe sunshine tomorrow?
Well that was an interesting ride home ... through rivers and lakes in the dark
The tank's chain will need a bit of TLC once it's stopped dripping

Gill and I attempted the climb out of Fort Augustus on cheap hire bikes when we did that boat trip, we got to the first corner and saw it ramp up and were like "eh naw".its a good event, the first 30 miles are flat and fast, i loved the big climb, hard as nails but good, the second halfof the route you cycle really close to the Loch... you'll fly around the course
you've done enough big cycles with plenty climbs, this route will be not be problem for you....i only came out my big ring once and that was to do the big climb....i felt really good after the big climb, i was on really good form...the sprint at the end is good fun but its got a few wee sharp turns and its on cobblesGill and I attempted the climb out of Fort Augustus on cheap hire bikes when we did that boat trip, we got to the first corner and saw it ramp up and were like "eh naw".
I've got a LOT of climbing training to do, my commute is pan flat
