:hello:where has everybody wandered off to?
It's awfully quiet in here these days ...
Maybe all out cycling? HJ and I went on a wee ride to Musselburgh to be beside the seaside for a bit, followed by tea & cake at The Tide at Portobello promenade, very nice it was, too. We then had to fix a puncture (big bit of glass) in HJ's tyre, with the most amazing sunset !

I was planning on riding this am:
- 0830 - blue sky, if a little chilly. :cold:
- 0900 - fog, very damp, distinctly uninviting :cold:

Took the 4 wheels

:hello: Don't want to 'like' this post ... hope you enjoyed your day, despite too many wheels being involved ;)

I was planning on riding at some point this weekend but my wrecked sleeping pattern conspired against me:tired:
:tired:Sleep well soon :hugs:, hope it resolves itself - you aren't working shifts, are you? :stop:

@Telemark extra caution on the Belles rides, one on today's ride lost control of her bike, broken cheek bone, 4 stitches above one eye. She fell full face down.
Chatting and riding side by side on a path full of wet leaves is treacherous.

I didn't see any fog this morning in the harbour.

I left the house at 09:00... it ended up being twice as warm at the top of Redstone Rigg (6degC) as it was in Musselburgh (3degC) at 10:00 this morning. And I was overdressed.
Had a great day out AND I've joined the 10000km annual distance club for the first time. :wahhey:

Ouch. From a bedbound lass, please send her my best wishes and hope she recovers quickly.
Thanks SatNav, hope you feel a wee bit better today :hugs:

Congratulations :wahhey: Was there a 10000k cake :birthday:to celebrate? :hungry::giggle:
I don't think I'll make it this year, just gone past 8000k ... kind of unintentional huge increase since last year

@Pat "5mph" - eek, that sounds horrible! Hope she feels better soon . As far as I know, today's Edinburgh Belles ride went without mishaps, apart from a fairy visit (conveniently near a place serving coffee) ...

Edit: just spotted your post - get well soon, too, @SatNavSaysStraightOn

Congratulations.... I know how much effort that takes having done it once before ... I was nearly there myself again this year (as opposed to a year of touring) and was looking to be well on course to get 11,000km but now sadly it is very unlikely to happen. I can't see me making it to 10,000 km with me being on 9,062km and now being in the position I am in now! Still it is a good target to aim for for rehab for next year

Thanks @Telemark - there was cake, but I went for soup and a slice of rocky road in Smithy's, Tyninghame.

@SatNavSaysStraightOn, thanks, you are so unlucky to be on the brink of 10k. I hope your recovery is speedy.

Most of my mileage this year is probably junk-mile-commute-add-on to be honest. I haven't been able to enter as many events as I'd hoped to. Being a single parent (half the time) with a full time job gets in the way!

Next year I'm aiming to do a 400k and we'll see how it goes beyond that!
