You can't get an Irish Whiskey.I'd say that's spot on. I've never had an Irish whiskey that compared with a top single malt Scotch, but I've never had one I didn't like - unlike Scotch, where some of the cheap/megabrand (I'm looking at you, Bells) ones are really pretty nasty.

In English the spellings are whisky for scotch and whiskey for Irish. So you got in the right way round.Did I get it the wrong way round? I can never remember which is which.
