I remember a manager giving a "team talk", (full house on bullshit bingo) about all pulling together etc and finished by saying , and remember, their is no i in team, he wasnt impressed when someone said, no , but theres an M and E, (ME),

Yeah "there's no i in team". What a great way to remind your smartest and most talented juniors that no one gives a shoot what they think.

I even printed off a report from a prominent lexicographer confirming it has nothing to do with the slave trade and they still won't allow it. Guided by urban myth and hysteria instead of evidence and cold had fact.

In fact, that's management through and through.
Good on you for doing the research. Great swathes of unsupported bullsh*t are regularly spouted about language, whereas, especially with the internet, a little bit of evidence-seeking is not hard to do. Mind you there are many nutcases out there too spreading their own baseless misconceptions and prejudices, so some clear thinking helps.

We have 'in terms of' counts at meetings these days.

Its usage seems to be endemic these days

Not sure if its a 'midgets dick' or a 'midges dick'?

Either way, I've no idea how much in size it refers too

More stupid phrases and meaningless business rubbish.

Our lot recently trialed an idea selectively stolen from New York dibble called Copstat. It seems crime levels are down big time in New York, so we're pinching some of their ideas.

In essence, each area Inspector is called in once a month and instead of spending their time doing real work get interrogated about their Key Performance Indicators and other such rubbish, and generally embarrassed in front of the rest of the class.

An utter waste of everyone's time which serves only for middle management to have a once monthly opportunity to shift the blame for their own failings down to the junior management. If they were really serious about following the New York example they'd open 20 New police stations and hire 4000 more officers, the way New York has recently done.
