For that remark there's a position of bike tester at the Apollo bike factory waiting for you. :boxing:
Having just watched it I'd say it comes across as a cbeebies show put on later for adults who have necked half a bottle of wine after a hard day at work and have reduced attention and reasoning levels. The whole thing takes a massive IQ jump when Ruths on or the people being interviewed are imagining they are responding to a more intelligent question.

Oh god...

Me: "Okay, I can confirm this Apollo is NOT fit for roadworthiness"
Manager: "Fantastic, that'll be the new £99 adult bike for Halfords this Christmas"
Me: "But, but, it's not safe!!!"
Manager: "It's okay, they can keep bringing it back.. our stores will benefit from all the repairs"

No great fan of Halfords - but that sounds libellous to me.:headshake:

Manager: quit arguing you've got another 100 bikes to test today and that's another 500 miles of riding.
There is a little mentioned sub circle of hell for cyclists who have sinned on the road called the Apollo bikes test track

Thoroughly enjoyed it and found it very interesting and watching the frames being brazed was a complete contrast to watching Lee Cooper at work brazing frames that carry his own name.

All in all very good and well done to all of the crew who made it.

They only went to places that produced the parts for the Brompton bikes hence going to the brooks factory to see how the saddles are made my partner and I thought it was a great program wish I could build a bike in 17 hours from scratch

Presentation style grates on me, the repetition and the reconfirming of what they told us 3 minutes earlier, like the viewer has the attention span of a hyper four year old.

It's cheap, why make a 40 minute program when you can make a 30 minute program & repeat 10 minutes of it to pad it out. Noticed it first in the US but it is now becoming the norm over here as well.

I suspect they structure the programme in such a way so when they eventually get shown on UK Gold or some such, it's easier to edit it for the ad breaks. Hence the 'recaps'.

I tended to find myself recording so-called science programmes then playing them back at double speed. They labour each point so much it's still pretty easy to follow the speech. Too much arty films of clocks and such, and too little General Relativity is typical.

PS, I thought the bike factory one wasn't too bad to be fair
