When they wear those one - piece outfits, they cannae go anyway, so they wear nappies.

Hundreds of years of technological innovation has meant they are so small and flat that you would never notice them.

toilets linked to food making thingies , where do you think the matter comes from to make it ?

Raiders of the lost ark

Given the Ark destroyed all the Nazis when they finally got hold of it, Indiana and his friends might as well have just gone to the pub for the duration the movie and the ending would have been the same.

And in the Holy Grail one, given Sean Connery (Indy's dad) has been brought back to life by drinking from the Grail, presumably he is immortal thereafter. That seemed rather glossed over

Also in Radiers of the Lost Ark, there's no way in hell that big Pat Roach wouldn't have greased Ford all over the floor.

Also, if you look closely at the undercarriage of the flying wing you can see the chains that are driving the wheels. Ruined the film for me.

I thought that this was covered - the immortality only works within the temple; cross the great seal and it's all off. Hence why the old dude in the cave had to stay there.

Einstein went forward and stayed there. They didn't, they went back to their original time, so of course they were then present in the future. That one makes perfect sense.

Nope, still not buying it. At what point do they replicate into two beings? If you travel to and fro you are taking yourself with you - you are not leaving behind a clone to carry on as if you were still there. Besides, in this case if you're saying that they went to the future, saw the mess being created, went back to the present and then carried on, then they would do that knowing what a mess was coming and therefore how to avoid it.

The wind that blows him off his feet & almost topples the rocket is poetic licence. The Martian atmosphere is much thinner than ours - about 100 times less - so that wind would probably feel like a mild breeze.

But again, like with BTTF, they are playing it both ways. The reason given that they can launch him into orbit under a tarp is because the atmosphere is so thin, yet it's dense enough to push the MAV over.

Similarly in Tomb Raider, the only way that Bad Archaeologist can locate The McGuffin is to follow in the footsteps of Laura Croft. Given that Laura's prime directive seems to be Dont Let Bad Archaeologist get his Mitts on The McGuffin, she really should stop looking for it, pull up a deck chair, order a long, cold mojito and enjoy the view.

If I recall correctly, Biff returns to the alternate 2015 created initially by Marty in the first movie. He's seen apparently in pain, staggering from the car presumably since he's changing as the dystopian 1985 takes hold and the equally dysfunctional 2015 is starting to emerge as the wave of change hits from the past?

There is no "takes hold" - the timeline is changed the moment he returns to 1955 and hands over the almanac. From that point on, as explained by Doc, the timeline can only head to the alternative, dystopian version and if you travel forwards in the DeLorean you can only go that way. It's the reason given that they have to go back to before this happens to keep the original timeline intact.

Just remembered another one. In "King Kong" the islanders have built a bloody great wall to keep KK out. So why did they put a huge gate in it big enough for him to get through? A little man-size gate would have sufficed for inspection visits and maintenance, or even a horse and cart sized gate if that was deemed desirable.

Still a great film though, the original at any rate.

My point was that due to the change in 1955, when Biff returns to the future, it starts to change around him. This is in keeping with the first movie, when Marty gets hit by the car (his dad is a 'peeping Tom') and accidentally changes the timeline, the changes aren't instantaneous. He has time to fix things before he vanishes at the concert- the process begins with his family photo changing... 'poor photographic paper, your brothers head is missing' etc.

Thus when Biff hands the almanac to himself in 1955, he can return to that 2015 because the new timeline hasn't been established yet so there's a 'grace' period. That happens when 1955 Biff makes his first bet using the almanac. If what you say is true, then when Marty gets hit by the car, the change would have been immediate and he would have vanished, probably creating a paradox since its his time travelling that caused that situation in the first place.

So the entire first movie is a big 'grace period' in which Marty must readjust the timeline or he's gone....

In the otherwise splendid motion picture version of Battleship, the crew of a modern destroyer were able, with some help from a few doughty veterans, to recommission a museum ship ready for combat quicker than aliens can phone home. Were the aliens on a BT contract ?

In Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade, the fight scene in the boat getting too close to the larger boat propeller, you can see the wire pulling the small boat. In Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indy under the truck getting dragged along, he's obviously laid in a shallow trench.

Famous Trek continuity gaffe:

In Star Trek: The wrath of Khan, he says to Chekov that he never forgets a face. Well, Khan was in the season 1 episode 'Space Seed' and Chekov wasn't added to the Enterprise crew until season 2....so did they meet at all?.

Ah that makes sense.

But hang on, wouldn't that mean Connery would have to stay there guarding the Grail for all eternity?
