How much power do you think an RTG produces?
More than solar panels at that distance from the sun, hence the likes of Perseverance using one.

In the film ‘Under Siege’ a character named Cue Ball enters the galley and merriment breaks out with shouts of “Hey Cue Ball” etc. and dancing of some sort. Why is this? Is Cue Ball some sort of special dancing sea person or something?

Someone made a good comment about the plot of Jurassic Park 3. Never mind the science, but what about the conversation with the insurance agent when sorting out their public liability cover. "Have you had experience of this kind of venture?" "Oh yes, we've run two other parks on similar lines". "Excellent! Any claims or incidents?". "Well, the dinosaurs did run amok and ate all the customers ... both times"

The Back to the Future series is riddled with them. And I mean plot holes that break the very rules set out in the films.

Example: in BTTF we see Einstein sent forward in time by 1 minute as a test. The car and the dog disappear and then reappear a minute later and Doc Brown carefully explains that to Einstein it all happened instantly. Then in BTTF2 Marty and Jennifer go forward in time to 2015. This time, however, they meet or see future versions of themselves. Where did they come from? Since they removed themselves from the timeline by fast-forwarding to the future, where did these other thems come from? Einstein never met a future version of himself so why did they?

Another: in BTTF2 old Biff takes the Delorean back to 1955 and gives himself the Sports Almanac. Later in the film Doc Brown explains that this created a skewed timeline which led to the distopian alternate 1985. However, Biff still manages to return to the original 1985, despite having already skewed the timeline.

These are not just “suspend belief, it’s sci-if”, these are plot holes that counter the very explanations laid out within the films themselves.

In Dirty Harry the protagonist makes a big deal about his .44 Magnum.

But he lies!

The .44 Model 29 had been launched, but no one had ever thought to make blanks in an elephant killing size. So, the lying bar steward uses the visually identical .41 Model 25 S&W for the scenes where he actually fires the weapon and hopes than no one has a micrometer on them while he's boasting. Close up shots were of the correct model 29.

In 'The Spy Who Loved Me' James Bond drives a Lotus Esprit out of the sea, opens a window and drops a fish out. How did a fish get into a watertight car in the first place?
