Have I missed the valve or something? Looks to me like an iron band on top of a wooden wheel, which is what they would have used. I accept they are probably pneumatic tyres made to look like that, but it's pretty good.

There's allegedly a shot in the forest at the start where you can see a pair of legs in jeans/trainers as a horse is led past - the crew member tried to use it to hide when they realised they were in shot....

Raiders of the Lost Ark:
In the scene where Indy shoots the truck driver after they bundle the basket, supposedly carrying Marion, into the rear, it skids in the square, hits a building & topples over before it explodes. For a split second, as it's laid on its side, you can see a wide tube under the rear wheels. This is the compressed air mechanism which fires a telegraph pole into the ground and toppled the truck.
