Which means not only aerodynamic-style manoeuvring but also close-quarters ray guns. Today we can fire-and-forget missiles over the horizon at unseen targets but in space it seems we'll be dogfighting with guns again.

That is just wrong

Yes - i know the baddies need to fir 10 million rounds at the goodies and still only manage to throw them around the bridge a bit and cause fires in some non critical areas

but you have to remember that the good guys are generally able to cause a critical hit an the LAST POSSIBLE moment every time
so they do have unerringly accurate weapons - but they only work at the LAST POSSIBLE moment

I thought this was obvious

(also - seatbelt - but lets leave that for now)

In the 2015 James Bond film Spectre, the opening sequence features a Day of the Dead parade in Mexico City. At the time, no such parade took place in Mexico City; one year later, due to the interest in the film and the government's desire to promote Mexican culture, the federal and local authorities decided to organize one.

(well I don't really see that as a plot hole, but anyway ...)
I did not know that! Thanks. Quick google gives:
As reported by the BBC, it cost $500,000 to create the parade, 650 volunteers to put it together, and more than 250,000 people came to watch. While many believed the film recreated a real life parade, it was in fact the 007 franchise which inspired the 2016 Día de Los Muertos parade in Mexico City.

That happens to be possibly my favrouite Bond opening scene ❤️

There is something about the opening scene being one long take IIRC,

The Sister Boniface Mysteries are set in the 1960s. However she rides a Vespa PX that didn't enter production until 1977.

Father Brown was set in the 1950s but his Pashley has plastic pedals (and modern brake levers).
Just shows - there's little that's truly new in bike tech!

Lone Survivor.

The patrol are carrying the SIG MCX when in reality they used the Colt Canada version of the M4 with the 203 grenade launcher. This made me very angry.

They also carry the wrong pistol. The worst error in Lone Survivor though is that the battle scene is a gross inflation of the Taliban force. It was platoon sized (20-25) not 100-200.

Die Hard

A good one is just how do the terrorists get all their equipment, themselves and an ambulance into the back of a not terribly big van. And how does the driver get in it when the doors will be wedged against the sides

Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol.

Probably true of many films, but glaring in this. Every round Tom Cruise fires hits its mark, but when the ex special forces bad guys fire back they merely pepper the landscape around Cruise and not a round hits its mark.

But is it as bad as Chuck Norris in one of The Expendables films, strolling through an airport terminal and shooting from the hip whilst the baddies bullets fly all around him? 🤣
