It's an Orbea Aqua Dama - for I am a gurrrl! Haven't finalised every detail with the bike shop yet, as I'm hoping for some special concessions for being so patient, but it will have a triple (sorry ) and is black, white, and magenta. The man's frame comes in a nice rich blue & white, but the woman-specific frame for some odd reason is only offered in a puny baby blue and white that I didn't like. Orange and white isn't available for girls, not sure why.

Dont be sorry mines a triple too ! and I unashamedly used the "granny ring" the other day going up a killer hill. Triple for a year then change mabye? I had the dilema when my mate said go for a compact but the bike shop owner whos an ex champion suggested triple for now.

Interesting - maybe the 'It usually takes a week or ten days' was bullsh*t then? Sounds like five weeks could be more realistic. If I'd known I'd have gone elsewhere - all the things I wanted to use the bike for this summer have come and gone

Sounds nice mate. Mines white and black. Got some pics of it in the photo section. You'll have to get some of yours up. So you got it direct from the factory, I didn't know you could do that until somebody else told me. I picked mine up at a knock down price from a local LBS and I'm well chuffed with it.

as for speed on a hybrid - I got 46 mph on mine (specialized crosstrail) going down into Grasmere. Caught up a roadie who had nonchalently passed me and my mates going up the A591 south from Thirlmere, slipstreamed him going down the long hill (had to sit up to slow myself down) then took him....he nearly pooped himself when he saw my heavy bike nip passed him. He then slipped me and decided enough was enough and when on by. Would have taken him again but hit the 30mph signs and had to turn right at a junction!
A day to remember as we then took on the struggle up Kirkstone.......grrrrrrrr.

I don't know if its as easy in IE but in firefox its easy, you don't need to down load the pic, you just right click on the image, select 'Copy image location', use the 'Insert Image' icon on this forum (the one that kinda looks like a picture) and paste the link in there and insert it.

Try reducing picture size using an image editor, i use infranview

These days i tend to add the image as an attachment (under where you type , browse add file from where it is on your pc)

Thanks chaps it looks like the pic HLaB put up except the pedal cranks are silver
