Welcome to the dark side.

I got my Orbea three years ago, it was five weeks delivery then, but given that it was built to my spec and had my name factory painted on the frame I took it without complaining.

You can't be a true roadie until you're dressed in a full lycra team kit, shave places you didn't know existed, able to ignore normal cyclists not using a road bike, who say hello or morning and you don't bat an eyelid, you own the road, throw away litter as you eat while still riding, throw your used water bottles to the side of the road or at pedestrians, but most of all, know all about the latest "Must have item" and can talk for hours on the said item / items ;)

PMSL Norman, I will NEVER ignore another cyclist in any way shape or form only excuse would be out of puff where a nod or wave will suffice !

Give it time, you will come to realise you are now part of a superior breed. Embrace your new found arrogance like I did.

Alreet fifelad from a fellow orbea aqua owner. Had mine just over 3 months and love it. What spec and colour scheme have you got?

Its the TSR in red and white mate, I have managed to rub some of the coating off the left pedal crank with the way my foot sometimes sits I think though!!

I must admit I did feel a tad dismissive whilst seeing some people on the cycle path today wearing fleeces and sitting in wrong seating positions !

Sounds nice mate. Mines white and black. Got some pics of it in the photo section. You'll have to get some of yours up. So you got it direct from the factory, I didn't know you could do that until somebody else told me. I picked mine up at a knock down price from a local LBS and I'm well chuffed with it.

If you see somebody on a dark blue Kinesis or a black/ celeste Bianchi that could be me. You should also get your self along to the DCC cafe ride, we usually leave from the Glen gates at around 9:10 on a Saturday (9am is the official time but you know how life is).
Will look out for you mate!

Will do mate Im sure youll all make me feel welcome.... Im sure I will manage the 30 miles ok Ive been on the DCC site and see that its done at a friendly pace. Just a bit dubious about group riding as I have never done it before !! Just getting the mileage in and loving it !!

Unfortunately my upcoming shift pattern will mean a Saturday morning off may be some time!

It's an Orbea Aqua Dama - for I am a gurrrl! Haven't finalised every detail with the bike shop yet, as I'm hoping for some special concessions for being so patient, but it will have a triple (sorry  ) and is black, white, and magenta. The man's frame comes in a nice rich blue & white, but the woman-specific frame for some odd reason is only offered in a puny baby blue and white that I didn't like. Orange and white isn't available for girls, not sure why.

Agh so it's the girls version, nice. Like I said to fife lad you'll have to get some pics posted up once you get it. I like the white and orange. They had an onyx in thar colour but it was outta my price range. In my opinion orbea are lovely bikes. So glad I got mine, intact I believe it was fate that I got it.

Yip we are a friendly group. You'll be fine on the bun ride, group riding isn't hard on that, there's no real chainganging so you just sit in and cruise
