The Xenforo forum is not a non-public forum, and what you have said is a major distortion of a single post that Shaun posted. To quote the post: -My favourite part in all this is that while all you long standing users think Shaun is some sort of faultless demi-god he is bitching about half of you on another, non-public forum and wishing he could ban you even though he admits you don't actually break any site rules. Only thing standing in his way is you communicate outside the forum and so he knows everything would kick off.
Funny the things people say when they think no-one is listening. I would post screenshots but I need access and can't risk getting banned there.
I don't doubt he's grateful for your money, though.
I've been having on-going problems with people who seem to want to go out of their way to wind-up and pick at other members, haranguing them for their opinions, and projecting a negativity that is causing others to stop posting (for fear of being shamed or shot-down).
They're not breaking any specific site rules, so I just wondered how others deal with this sort of thing on your forums? (bearing in mind these individuals have a good number of friends on the forum they associate with outside of the site).
Such a shame...There's no bitching, no wishing he could ban anyone...
Oh look, it was publicly available after all. Fancy that......The Xenforo forum is not a non-public forum, and what you have said is a major distortion of a single post that Shaun posted.…

There's no bitching, no wishing he could ban anyone, just asking for advice on something that Shaun feels is a problem (and which was already being discussed on a thread in the Politics and Current affairs forum at the time). Shaun's response, although I disagree with some parts of it was a measured one IMHO, and to be honest, as it's his forum, he gets to set the rules where he likes. As in the old (bad) joke "I am God! 127.0.0.1".
If Shaun ever went too far in the opinion of people here, such as happened with ACF, then the members will leave (in that case, the lifeboat YACF was formed and most people ended up moving across). Until then, I've been here for nearly 8 years, and I have enjoyed the community, and considering how heated certain bits of the forum can get at times, the even-handedness and patience Shaun and his moderators have shown is quite remarkable.
So was ACF, though both were about a year before I started on cycling forums. I was busy fighting in the flame wars over on Live For the Outdoors at the timeThis site was the lifeboat for C+
The biggest ultrasonic ones you have never heard.....It'll be like Glastonbury for dogs.....Whippets will be sh!tting for no apparent reason...What happens when we hit the target? Will there be fireworks?
You know those trophy points we've all been busily building up?What happens when we hit the target? Will there be fireworks?

He is a prince among forum admins......Is knackered bike just Shaun all Machiaveli-ed up?
What an odious little poster.
