Nonsense. I'm not talking about experience - I'm talking about facts. He's not a liar - he's just wrong. I thought perhaps, with it being the 21st century 'n' all, we could move on from anecdotal "evidence" about women drivers.

Anecdotes or unreliable government statistics. It's as bit of toss-up, is it not..
The driver according to the article is a trainee accountant who works for a firm in East Anglia. Might it be appropriate for a quick phone call to the ICAEW regarding one of their registered companies and a particular student member that it employs I wonder...?
This made me laugh from their facebook page

Have you got any advice for cyclists who feel that they are not paying enough "Road Tax" (whatever that may be)?

BBC have the story up now from the cyclists point of view:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-22602141

check out the sideline section, they wrote this themselves:
The so-called 'Road Tax'

The comment on Twitter suggested Toby Hockley, as a cyclist, does not pay "road tax".
A road tax does not exist in the UK but the term is commonly and incorrectly used to refer to the Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), or "car tax" paid on most motorised vehicles as a tax on emissions.
Roads are funded by all UK taxpayers under general and local taxes.
