yup, it's road bikes that tend to hold value. For example anyone who bought a CAAD 8 is laughing because no one sold them when they bought a carbon CAAD10 and kept them for rainy days or as a commuter, this means that you can't buy one second hand for less than £700 and it's possible that the prices may even go up on them.
Hybrids do not hold value, this is because although many of us buy them knowing that a hybrid is what we want many many new cyclists buy them and then realise that they want a MTB or a Road bike and then they sell them. MTBs don't hold value that well either, the market is flooded, plus most people don't really want to spend over £150 on non-disc brakes so brand names mean nothing in that price range.
