How's this for a handsome looking bike?

Doesn’t look like it would enjoy a pot-holed tarmac / off road combo ride too well ? 🙄 It would therefore be nothing but an ornament to me. And for that reason ‘I’m out’……

Seriously (Perhaps): Isn’t it great we’re all different ? 20 years ago I’d have been right into this. Now: I’m the old fart interested in ergonomics, all day comfort blah blah

It's a pure racing bike. Needs to be seen in that context.

At last a sensible answer. 😂

You wouldn't buy a Ferrari 360 and then complain about where you were going to put the weekly shopping.

Having said that though I was once parked on Tesco's car park at Horwich, next door to the Reebok Stadium, this was around the early eighties when Jay Jay Okocha played for Bolton. There was a noise next to me and I looked round to see an open top Ferrari pulling up with the very same Jay Jay in the driver's seat, and off he popped into the shop whilst I sat there acting like a ten year old girl at a Westlife concert. 😂

It's a bike if it's generation and if you like it, then I'm happy for you.
It's just a little too new for me tbh. Either go steel like a woodup or Mercian or go fully carbon like a tarmac or madone...*

*Other brands are available!

Naked bikes have their beauty but put Ercole Baldini on a bike that fits him and beauty is guaranteed.

As journalists of the 1950s used to remark: just put Baldini on any bike and it becomes a work of art.

I can't think of any bike that I've seen a picture of in the last decade that can match the look of this.

Forget your aero hidden cables, this C40 with the correct choice of components is a thing of beauty.

I had a Holdsworth '10 speed', steel framed road bike in the 1970's in their traditional orange and blue. The above reminds me of that bike, though granted Colnago bikes are a higher level than Holdsworth bikes were.

A terrible colour scheme. My bikes are black, very deep blue, grey or titanium. I wouldn't be seen dead on that Colnago.

...........Looks like it harks back to the Neon / Paint splatter / United Colours of Benetton era in the 80's.

Which now in 2024 looks pretty 'horrific' i agree. Just a Classic (But bright !) single colour scheme with contrasting components would change the look of that completely.
