Turkish barbers in town £7.50/£5.00 OAP's, or £5.00 for clippers all over, they do a really good job, they can even insert burning tapers in your ears & wax your nose too!

Hairdressers have been closed for the last three and a half months under the Melbourne Australia lockdown. When they reopened there were long queues.
Cutting to the chase I have been paying $15 AUD for a few years now for a Seniors scissors cut but I was told by the nice lady that they would be putting their prices up soon. Mary pays about $35 for her cut.

£25 roughly every 8 yrs. That's the cost of a trimmer/cutter. Lady Byegad does all but my beard, that I do three times as often as the haircut.

£7 including a tip. But I don't go for the awesome style in which they cut my hair, I go just to get out of the house.

Barely anything for a bit of tidying up.
Lock down led me to go for my hair as it was in the late 1970s/early 1980s look. Or as my boss described it, looking like a member of Iron Maiden.
It can be an ache in the spheres, but personally I am happy to have the choice.

Ha ha... Ditto!

In case anybody wonders what on earth we are talking about... The barber had a little display of Durex boxes, and used to nod his head towards it!
ah, now you mention it, i think perhaps my friend's oldy worldy barber did the nod as well. Damn amazing what the back end of the brain retains.

I paid £18 yesterday (dry cut), plus a generous tip (I have long curly hair), which was £15 before the 1st lock down. I appreciate they have increased costs with PPE, antibacterials, less room for customers etc
