Aw, you should have changed your avatar to a headshot of Judi Dench and said nothing.

Software dev for a nationwide hire company. The main development jobs have largely been suspended and about half of the workforce has been furloughed, but I'm part of the half still working providing support.. But thankfully working from home.

Mrs Kes is also involved in the software industry and so far has been largely unaffected (cept for working from home).

Were lucky so far....hope anyone else who's worse off gets through the next few months as unscathed as possible.

I manage worldwide teams at a Location Data company, so find out how things are going in the rest of the world, whilst working huge numbers of hours to keep things running. The majority of our revenue comes in from the automotive sector so we are on our knees and are desperate for this to be over. I volunteer as a Finance Director of a school wrap around care facility. We are keeping this open, but I do go in to cover shifts because so many of the staff have to self isolate for medical reasons and I am DBS checked and first aid trained. Luckily we have shut Scouts down completely, so I don’t have that to worry about.

Another Government employee, so technicaly a key worker, but in reality far from it if you knew my job. Basically a pen/button pusher to keep cargo moving with occasional physical checks on some goods being required for mandated EU regulations. We're still on ful pay but a much reduced office attendance - on average 2 or 3 days per week with the rest being done 'working' from home. The problem with this is we had 15 laptops issued for emergency use as part of the Brexit preparations, but security settings mean 9 of them have bricked themselves, with the other 6 on loan to a more business critical department! Therefore working from home has become being on-call just in case.

I'm using this as practice for potential early retirement in around 18 months.

I am still at work making sails. All who can work from home were sent home 3 weeks ago. Our order books were full and now a couple of operations in other parts of the world have been closed and so we are making their sales. We are now very busy.

I am winding down as an A&E hospital porter till the last kid is through uni, so my life seems normal apart from not being able to go to the pub. I am currently self implementing a three strikes and your out rule, so one more incident of unnecessarily putting me at risk will see me as an ex-A&E porter. MrsF is in education so is working via a laptop at home.
