I have several possible routes, but this is what google maps makes of one of them

Funnily enough it's the point that I've marked in red* that seems the steepest but that doesn't come out on the chart.
*the hill from Bubbenhall to Baginton, after the bridge over the young Avon. I expect @dave r will know this stretch.

Are you looking at Bubbenhall Rd where you climb past the stables? Cross the Stoneleigh Rd then theres a short flattish bit then it goes right and climbs over the bridge then climbs past the stables and into Baginton, a few yards after the climb theres a dip in the road. You need to be careful at the top of the climb on a cold morning, water runs of the fields there and it can freeze, and then you'd be better off on skates.

I don't know if the link works but its the street view from the bridge, the climb is steeper than it looks on google maps.

Yes that's the place. It's definitely steeper than Hunningham Hill which is the pointy second peak on my google maps elevation chart and looks like the steepest there.

Definitely steeper but a bit shorter.

Uppy downy. It depends how long and tough I choose to make it. Some ways there is practically no level bits at all, long drags interspersed with some nasty little steep bendy bits - fun going down the other side tho.

This is my homeward commute pretty much uphill all the way except the last bit.

Lovely freewheel to work leaving me fresh, I am less fragrant when I get home

My commutes are lumpy once I'm out of London (I have to get over the North Downs), but London itself is pretty flat. I could make it insanely hilly, but profiles are usually:

Not very. Starts in Salisbury, which nessles in a valley. So a gradual climb getting out, gradual decent back into a valley...follow that along, one short, sharp hill and I'm done. This is not very interesting to anyone else, is it....

My commute is only 1.9 miles each way but the round trip height wise plotted on Strava my Routes is 300 or 301ft depending on which way I go to work. Must remember to switch the gps on the phone and see if that gives a different reading.

mines around 450feet of climbing on way in and roughly 650feet on the way home (aprox 10 miles each way)
