14 mile each way, 600-1100' of ascent depending on route and direction (work is 200' lower than home)

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
5 hills in, 6 back; I live on top of a hill and the university building's up a hill.

However, it very much depends on which route I take from Dewsbury to Leeds ... and at the moment it's not the direct way.

4.85 miles with 510ft climbing most of the time - 'tis steep in places, but the downhills always put a smile on my face on the way home  In Summer I sometimes take the scenic route home (will hopefully do so tonight) but am usually running late in the morning!

Highest I get on the commute is 20 meters above sea level and only on the way home if I decide to climb michealgate will I get any form of climbing in.

So flat its untrue.

This sod ^^^ is my first 3 miles home. The y-axis goes from 226' to 686'. It's why I work late, thinking about facing it. Pushing's not an option; would take a good hour.

My mornings commute. 20 miles, and as you can see, at just over 2½ miles in, there's ¼ mile of 12% climb, that get's the body warmed up. Followed by another 12% climb at 6½ miles. At the 13 mile mark is a 12% descent, a lovely drop out of Bromley and a nice cruise all the way to work.

For the trip home. 15 miles of gradual climbing, at mile 5½ is Bromley Hill which is a good old thigh & lung buster.

Setting the controls for the heart of the sun.
Not got my garmin with me but around 70 metres of elevation over 17 miles.
Apart from a motorway bridge, a railway bridge and an underpass, my steepest climb is probably a 4% er up to my parish church.

I always use the following table to determine how hilly a ride has been:-

0-5m/km of climbing = flat
5-10m/km = rolling
10-15m/km = slightly hilly
15-20m/km = hilly
20-25m/km = very hilly
>25m/km = insanely hilly

I have several possible routes, but this is what google maps makes of one of them

Funnily enough it's the point that I've marked in red* that seems the steepest but that doesn't come out on the chart.
*the hill from Bubbenhall to Baginton, after the bridge over the young Avon. I expect @dave r will know this stretch.
