Helmet replacement or not?

I recently had a minor incident and my head had a minor impact with the ground, there is a small amount of damage to the outer with minor indentations, the foam inner doesn’t appear damaged at all.
My inclination is it’s ok but everything you are told says replace, just interested in opinions.

Small amount of damage just means its weakened, so my preference is to replace.

It probably took quite a knock to produce any damage in the first place.
