Got a budget of 1500 at a push. Got a pair of vision team 35's on at the moment.

Doesn't need to be top of the range 2016 model

Do you have a power meter yet? If you're serious about training to race, then £1500 on a power meter will be better value. Then again, £1500 on 1 to 1 fitness training would be more beneficial than £1500 wheels too.

Carbon or alloy visions?
Why do you feel the need to change?
What difference do you think it would make?

My normal response would be its your money, buy what you want and enjoy.

But your previous posts have pointed to the fact you want to turn pro by riding 10 miles a day lol

Remembering the pic of your bike which was posted on another thread - you already have a bike capable of winning races (most bikes are, to be fair), so I don't really understand what you expect to gain by hosing another £1500 at it.

Now if your bike is already capable, then the only thing stopping it from winning - is you.

Alternatively, if you just want to spend on some new wheels, as mentioned earlier - then just buy whatever you most like the look of.

Not blowing my own trumpet but I was down to 26's on a 10TT with a £400 bike from Argos and stock R501's......(worth about £70)
Walk before you learn to run, once you get better at it then upgrade, plus you can laugh at all the numptys with £1500 wheels and bikes as you cream them.

Why all the life lessons for this guy? He's asking about wheels, not a lecture as to whether he should buy them or not based on your limited knowledge of his life. None of your collective business what he does with his money.
While that is true and correct I think a lot of us know quite a lot regarding his cycling through his previous threads. Spending £1500 on a set of wheels at his level would be mental, but it's his choice as you say, knock yourself out mate buy buy buy.

Spooky thought of the day - for every person who posts asking for buying advice on a cycling forum, there are 99 other people who just go out and spend £1500 on wheels regardless. At least he is in that 1%.
