Ok, I'm doing a test as scientifically as my comprehensive school education can formulate

I will wear a cycle helmet whilst being struck moderately hard on the head by a blunt object, I'm just wondering if there's anyone one here who'll volunteer to be my 'control' sample and receive the same blow to the head without said helmet.......??

We will then compare headaches.........

And so you put your faith in a helmet rated for what level of impact?

Last I heard it was a vertical drop with a linear impact velocity of ~12mph, parabolic trajectories aren't tested for reasons.

I don't know many people who can walk at 30-45mph

ookayyyy... let's try missing the head by a quarter inch and then try again wearing a helmet. Edwardaka has kindly supplied a diagram on previous page. what about a lethal blow to helmet versus a near miss to head?

There's always the pedestrian argument about also banging your head simply walking along but I don't know many people who can walk at 30-45mph

do cars go slower when hitting pedestrians then?

... and of course if you are serious about your helmet, surely you should be riding at 12 mph or less?

It seems counter productive to rant about how helmets are the magic bullet and then knowingly decide to ride in a way that negates or reduces any beneft there may be.

Like i've said I really dont care about anyones opinion - you dont have to discuss on here - intelligence or otherwise,...its a no brainer, like you wouldnt have upon you head hitting the ground WITHOUT a helmet

Whether studies exist to exclamate and claim that the human skull is safer without a helmet....

Lets put it this way i've hit my head on the ground and IT HURT, seriously..whilst i was a child..

So theirfore sense dictated that i wear a helmet = its VERY SIMPLE

And it hurts A LOT LESS - if you want to die - go ahead, i dont give a dam - but i know i'll be here and you WONT

But you do care lay. You care enough to continue posting on this thread and if I may be so bold you seem to care that people that don't wear helmets stand, in your opinion, a very good chance of suffering life changing injuries or death.
