Clearly not true. Let me try your approach so you grasp my meaning. I said:

"I will be interested if you can provide concrete proof that they are of no use though. That is the kind of insight i would not only consider valuable but be thankful for".

See how that might appear different? Not only that, please tell me which part states "unequivocally" that i am not interested in ANY evidence that pointed out designs that are flawed???? Bear in mind the above quote.

Doubts are hardly conclusive are they. I doubt you will ever change your mind RE helmets. Hardly a fact though is it?

So what flawed interpretation do you have of my mind RE helmets then?

I think that really proves my point!

So the fact that neither passes the most stringent Snell B95 doesn't concern you, you are happy with a lesser level of protection?

Like Low viz? ;) Good night. Always a pleasure.

Exactly... Claim to want protection, and then compromise that with an inferior product....

Doesn't seem to stand the "relevancy" test on here.
Although I realise that it is easier for you to bleat than to offer something positive, rather than continuing to make yourself look a bit of a berk with this, maybe you could propose any way that the stats you quoted would have been relevant to the discussion at that point.

No need to get angry. I was simply pointing something out something that needed clarification.

You responded to a point I made, my point was in reference to why I wear a helmet. Your response referred to being told to wear a helmet. Therefore it was irrelevant.

Had I not pointed out this error, people may have made the incorrect assumption that my original point corrosponded to your response, leaving me no option but to clear this up.

Not angry old chap, just pointing out that on a forum, no-one has control (other than mods). You posed a question - I answered it as I saw fit. Now if you wanted a specific person to provide the answer, or you wanted the answer to a different question, you should have posed it differently.

As for relevancy, that is a matter of opinion. To me, yours does not count, Welcome to thread drift.

Don't be too harsh, DavidK is a success story!

This is a much improved and better founded series of posts from the original "You all hate me because I wear a helmet".
"I don't believe in statistics" and that you don't need full face helmets because ordinary ones are wide enough to protect the face.

Possibly, but some are judged by the company they keep and for every successful David K Yin there is a Yang.

I chose 'it has saved me from injury'. My recent crash caused my helmet to split on contact with the road, and I'm fairly sure I woud've been knocked out without it, and 99% sure I would've suffered superficial injuries (cuts, bruising) without it.

Shame I wasn't wearing one on my ribs though.
