Remember the outcry when they banned smoking in pubs?? Now many have given up smoking and very few still complain about it.
No I don't, people just seem to smoke outside and in the pub doorway now !
Slightly different though, as smoking has been proven to be bad for you health !

I am going to Dragons Den with that!!!
My point was that the claims you made for the device were very similar to the claims made by helmet manufacturers, so weak as to be meaningless. I'd expect the dragons to laugh you back down the stairs. Mind you don't trip, negotiating spiral stairs is significantly more dangerous than cycling.

Then everyone who wears a helmet is misinformed ?
No, not at all. There are all kinds of reasons someone might be wearing a helmet. But anyone who believes the risk of cycling in general is so much greater than the risk of walking in general that the former activity should by default be assumed to require a helmet and the latter one not, has not looked at the numbers

I expect Mr Paul has bowed out of this thread long ago or he would at this point pop up to talk about comparing like with like and that the ped statistics include drunk people, the elderly, the drunken elderly, etc etc and that you can't use statistics like this to inform a personal decision - and he's probably got some kind of a point. But that goes both ways, given that the cycling figures (as far as I recall it) include racing, kiddies on BSOs with no brakes, downhilling and other pursuits which you/me/him as an individual cyclist may or may not indulge in. And given that nobody's even suggesting that elderly drunks should wear helmets, we're still not talking about levels of danger that anyone would give a rats ass about in any other context.

Well lets just assume for now that everyone that doesn't wear a helmet wears an "Airhelmet". Sometimes i try to bring some humour to the table. Sometimes it's not funny. Sometimes it is.

Goodnight all, I'm off to bed.

I'm tired and my head hurts, I'm not wearing a helmet, mmmm, is there a link?
Think I'll ask the wife to polish it, see if that helps ?^_^

You've shown yourself to be a rather ignorant little nerk... how's that for insightful?

Let me guess... you're probably a student at a second-rate university.
You have shown yourself to be old and bitter? Close?

To your guess. Nop and nop. not very insightful.

Edit: Can't really be bothered by you User if you are going to act like a 5 year old. Life is far to short to be wasted with bitterness. If you continue i'll just ignore you.
