Weekend work from the age of 15 - Mucked out stables and cleaned up for the princely sum of £2 an hour. Then over the summer holidays I picked fruit. Was back breaking hard work but it made sure I stayed in school as I knew I never wanted to do that kind of job forever!

Roguing. Not a great job - most people lasted a day at most.

Saturday job (then summer holiday job) in Tesco Hone n' Wear. I was sixteen. For some reason I got to re-paint the store, bit by bit. Magnolia.

I stole (well, they were chucking it out) a five foot high fibreglass 'model' of a Heinz Salad Cream bottle, thinking that this would make a great conversation starter and, thus, I would have sex with lots of girls. I've never quite understood why it didn't work

Apart from paper round, mine was cleaner in a mental handicap hospital, from age 16, weekends, till I was 18. I returned to this in my 20s, for a bit, while at a loose end.
