 Good for you. Building your own will give you a much better appreciation of the best technology to come out of the Industrial Revolution.

Hope you enjoy your rides. Before you know it, you'll be contemplating longer rides, maybe even a tour!

I live near the top of St Clements Hill (NR3) which is weedy in comparison to Ketts Hill, but the adjacent hill, alongside Mousehold heath on Gurney road is fun to ride down; funnily enough, I've never pedelled up that one.;)

Hello Graham

Get in touch if you would like a ride leader around
Norwich.

We also have rides on Monday evenings throughout
the winter.

That would be great! I've never explored Norwich by bike and to do so would be a treat indeed

But... give me a few months to get my fitness up a bit first

Shhhh, you're not allowed to call anything in Norfolk a 'hill'.
We have bumps, slopes and the occasional incline

True - Grapes Hill is so named because the tarmac was laid over one.

NR2

@bottlemsher - Monday rides, are they head-down-race-bike rides or more of a hybrid friendly pootle?

That means Kett's Gentle Incline for me to negotiate even before I get there - I'll be knackered before we start

Out of interest, how many usually turn up and what sort of kit are folks riding?

My current route (which I'll be doing mon-fri eves once I've got me bike (tomorrow)) is a 10 mile loop from Mile X to Thorpe St Andrew. My return takes me down that small Kett's slope at high speed as I head back towards Anglia Square
