I don't have a clue whose fault it was.

Dainese's - he got relegated for it.

and the dog to blame for earlier, he's truly back in the dog house. ^_^

Heartbreak for the breakaway.
Don't know if they stopped in the last 400m or were they exhausted
Watched the end of that on my phone at work..
Not sure what happened but from the camera angle looked like they just gave up with 200 m to go !

Come on Rogla that's fighting talk !

Remco Evenepoel: "I think that Primoz Roglic is nervous, he know he's 44 seconds behind. Also Jumbo-Visma ride in a nervous way in the peloton but that's their style. I think for the moment, I'm the strongest."

But now they'll never know. And one of them could have got the win. I'm annoyed at them.
A sort of modern day romance story....

Alessandro De Marchi: "I wanted to win so I played a game with Clarke, I knew he was faster than me. I refused to pull which I never did in my career."
@SimoClarke who said he had nothing against De Marchi "... indeed, I have to thank him because we will not have gone all the way without him...".
And their hugs as Pedersen crossed the finish line say more than any words.

Is coming second in a Grand Tour REALLY not worth fighting for? Is it not better than NOTHING????

I get that first is clearly preferable (!) but for those who haven't won a lot (or for a while), SURELY second on a grand tour is worth fighting for? De Marchi hasn't won ever (according to PCS) and hasn't podiumed since 2021. Okay, he wants to win, don't we all...but now he has NOTHING and a colleague he clearly quite likes has got nothing either. And a chap who wins a lot got another win.

I find his attitude disappointing.*

* Again, clearly not a pro-cyclist and don't understand the nuances. But still...
