got the bike out today and noticed it has 8 speed sram shifters but 6 speed freewheel which seems to work even though its not supposed too ?

just picked this up again free
2013 spesh myka
now this has a set of 8 speed wheels , decent tyres and the frame is in a better condition .
170 cranks which i prefer
Cheaper components and the headset is seized
Im at a conumdrum of which bike to strip to make a decent bike of the two

giant was more expensive at the time , the spesh is indeed better overall although the shifters look odd like their upside down to the way i would expect
EDIT spesh has sram x4 shifters

had a play with the spesh headset today as there was a lot of play but the stem was seized , i had the chisel the spacers off then add loads of grease to the bearings but it still is very stiff when reassembled . The chain was rusted and the FD is set to low 
Next thing is to take the wheels off the spesh and put them on the giant as that seems the easy option to get a functioning bike as im assumign the H/L stops of the RD have been set to sort of work with the current wheel.
