I have found a few unexplained gaps from time to time. I could understand it if there were a problem causing a road closure but when I checked on Street View both ends of the missing sections were clear!

Also the wooden fingerpost sign pointing to the right disappeared sometime between my photo (2018) and the GSV car's latest pass in Aug 2021.

Is it a single track road and that is snow lying in the middle, or is there white lines there?
It looks so much like ha Hawick Slekirk Bonchester Bridge Gala Area - but I can't place it, I am sure I know this road!
Thought at first it was that single track road that links the the slitrig over to Bonchester Bridge but its not telegragph poles are on the wrong side. Thought also top of the Woll heading north, but no telegraph poles up there
