Game: Name that road!

Well it looked a bit like the west coast, I could only think of two roundabouts there and it didn't look like Ballachulish...

I made sure that I included the roundabout sign as a clue!

I had mentioned elsewhere on the forum riding around the loch a couple of weeks ago.

That view is screaming 'Scottish borders' at me. Looks very like the B709 north of Innerleithen but I can't find any exact matches there.
The search carries on tomorrow...

that was my first thought too - "Oh I've ridden that" (the day after unwittingly passing Mr Celine going the opposite way IIRC) , but can find anything that matches that gate / fence bit on the RHS in the correct place so must be a very similar bit of road....

The tall ascent is in my photo, which is taken from the foots of the climb.

its either on the B709 and streetview looks a bit different now Mr C's screenshot

or its on a road that looks a lot like the B709 but is actually somewhere else. <- i'm thinking this

An absolutely lovely stretch of road that I've ridden myself, but only in the other, downhill, direction.

I can see the similarity to the B709 except the road doesn't go straight on, it turns sharp left and can be seen ascending the Mur de Talla.
It seemed less daunting since last time I did it because the 20% sign at the bottom has disappeared.

Oddly enough I've never ridden it downhill.

ah a bit furth SW in the Moorfoots, I did have a quick shufty around but hadnt gone far enough south
