I see that the YH was closed in 1997. They can't erase my stamp though - I have it somewhere.

Your clues added up to possibly staying in the YH. I rode the hill this year but not in the direction of the pic. Back in the 80's Mrs 26 and I stayed in Glascwm YH.

Well, at least I got to use Street View to remind myself how much I like the Ribble Valley/Forest of Bowland!
I found some nice roads that I haven't ridden yet. I will go and explore them in the spring.

I'm assuming it must be the smaller of the two hills, because anywhere south(ish) of the larger one, if far enough away for it to be that low on the horizon, would have the smaller one in the way.
