I think there should be some kind of consolation prize for lookalike roads. That one's really good. I've found a few myself. All wrong, of course.

It reminded me of the portway on the long mynd. Wrong.

I see that the YH was closed in 1997 . They can't erase my stamp though - I have it somewhere.

Your clues added up to possibly staying in the YH. I rode the hill this year but not in the direction of the pic. Back in the 80's Mrs 26 and I stayed in Glascwm YH.

I was looking at that. It reminds me of Pendle hill viewed from the northern side but I can't think of where that road might be...
