Gawd so many people injured! Hope everyone recovers fully...must be something about June that's making us targets.

Note to self: remove roundel from jersey

I'm not deterred by these threats of rain, although I can't rule out the deployment of m*dg**rds if sufficiently wet.

If I was riding, I'd probably have to use the Kaffenback again, instead of Red ruining my recent unblemished record by having mudguards, a rack, and a pannier.

In some respects not being allowed to cycle makes it easier for me. If I was allowed out, I'd be trying to decide what to wear for the weather, or possibly be coming up with an original excuse.

Good luck with the ride, hopefully it won't be too bad weather-wise. It seems better now that it was earlier in the week, the wind has dropped a bit, and it's wet Friday evening (before the ride), but just down to very light drizzle on Saturday morning.

I'll be back in August!

is it my imagination or has Wanda's name inadvertently fallen off the list? sounds like she *is* coming along??
Wanda is an aka! Her real identity is known only to a very few.............

there is just a SMALL CHANCE that I will be able to nip down to Whitstable with THE SHIRTS for those who have ordered and are still riding (precious few!)

(it's much more likely that they will be with me on Monday)

Panniers, eh? Very practical.

nothing so maladroit. I would pick them up from Rayners Lane on the Brompton (the box will weigh about 15kg), grab a train to Whitstable from Victoria, sort them out on the train, go down to the Waterfront, leave the appropriate shirts behind, and then take the rest back home.

Wow. Way beyond the call of duty, Simon! Much as we're all eager to get our hands on them, I'm sure nobody minds wating a few days rather than have you make a special journey...

If you do do that, obviously check them before lugging them down to Whitstable! My club just did a kit order and the stuff arrived last week - in the wrong colour!

it would have the merit of getting some re-assurance on the sizing before sending all 70 out and having them sent back to me with demands for refunds

(can you tell I've been worried sick about these wretched shirts!)
