I've never been tempted to do that. I hate riding in the rain and I'd be mortified if I'd somehow persuaded somebody out on a wet night against their better judgement.

I'm afraid that Susie is a little prone to exageration. She describes the 'wet' ride to Southend as 'pouring'. It wasn't. November 2009 and February 2010 to Brighton - they were pouring.

Never mind all that. What does the cat say?

HMQM is also out. (email sent).

I'll be there. Perhaps on fixed.

if it rains heavily it will be an excellent opportunity to test (once again) the raingear and lights. i might even employ my carradice saddle bag which has been neglected for more that a year. i've removed mudguards from my faster bike, but the commuter still has them - i don't enjoy the prospect of tasting the crud off the road. my only slight worry is the tyres as i've "upgraded" from marathon+ to gatorskins/hamsterskins. we'll see.

weather forecast changing again. BBC has light rain, with the downpour moving ahead of us. Met Office is still light rain. XCWeather now 1.8mm of rain between 01.00 and 04.00 and a tiny amount thereafter. Metcheck is now out on a limb with the rain clearing at 01.00

down to 68!

With this rate of attrition we'll have a table each at Andy's!

For some reason I've not had any weather warning Emails, but my seaweed is drying out and the pine cones closing, so things are looking up.

It's always a sunny outlook within the realms of Davyland.... don't forget the suncream amigo..

Oh yes, these happy pills are great! Ah, yes, indeed, however, I wont be cycling back, need to save my leggies for Mondays ride as 420miles in the space of 3 days is not appealing...
