This is turning into one of the more interesting FNRttC events. I shall bring a camera. And Araldite - always useful for putting bikes back together again.

Spoilt for choice. You lot are great . I don't know what to say, really. All sounds great from my point of view and Amy's, so I suppose whichever involves a bit less in the way of inconvenience to everyone else. Frank's plan sounds like him having to get to Paddington with two bikes so perhaps that's trickier? I can bring a saddle if needed (she doesn't do clipless either but I could bring flats too). She's ridden drops and flats happily before so any fairly sensible bike of about the right size should do it.

What's the decision then - just need to know if I need to get mine up to town for collection?

Recently added a new chain and cassette - feels like a new bike!

weather forecast looking v good. dry. a bit of a headwind, which doesn't count if you're going uphill cos the hill is a windbreak, and doesn't matter going downhill cos the Goddes Gravity does most of the work.

forecast cooling off a bit, with a low of 6 degrees - but the wind is now more from the east

Excellent news for those of us who own both the thin Fridays jersey and the thicker version. Wearing both will allow us to keep warm while also emitting that smug air of superiority

I have PLAGUE - or at least, some cough/cold/sore throat combo that I've been failing to shake off for the last week. I will be incapable of yelling BOLLARD, getting up D*tchl*ng, or maintaining a cheery demeanor, so I think I might be better off spending the night in my cosy warm bed.

OTOH, last FNRTTC OF THE YEAR! I HAVE BARELY DONE A SINGLE ONE! OH NO BLUB! Maybe I should come out cycling?

Tell me what to do, the internets!
