Boo hoo and double hoo. I was meant to be in Yorkshire all this week visiting friends, finishing off with the night ride. My friend's elderly mother is , sadly, very poorly, so that part of the trip is out. Now too expensive/faffy to get a ticket up on the Friday. I have committed to leading a feeder ride to the LCC Big Ride on the Saturday (oh, joy, Big Ride is stretching it a bit, Big Crawl more like) so that's that.

You'll recognise the 'lads & lasses ' by their bariatric girth ... which may reduce bike space

The EldestCub, having already had a couple of early-for-him nights so far this week, has done all his homework, had his bath and gone to bed before his 6 year old little brother tonight. He's at his dad's tomorrow but his dad and step-mum to be have been pre-warned that an early night is needed then too. Working on the Teethgrinder theory - namely that sleep in the bank before the event is the best way to deal with sleep deprivation

Bike all checked, packed and ready, so leaving for my ride up to Newbold, just outside Hull, at 05.30 tomorrow morning. The weather looks good and the winds light, so hoping to be up there by early evening. A first spin over the flatlands of Lincolnshire for me, am quite looking forward to it.

Am probably going to be feeling that ride on Friday night, so will be very happy to volunteer for TEC duties if one required.

See you at the Minster at 23.30!

Just one for anyone on the 21:00 train out of Kings X on Friday without a bike reservation. I will have mine spare, as I'm pretty certain I'm taking one of the Brommies on this ride.
So if you need it, it's yours for the asking.

I'm out.

Been spectacularly unwell since Sunday, and have only just regained enough strength to sit at the computer.
