No worries - I bought one for £28 anyway. If the profile of this 400XL suits my helmet better I will just get a refund on the Micro drive.

If that bike had rack and guard mounts I'd buy one right now.

I've just received a new Cateye Volt 300 (£34.99 from Evans) and it has that mode too. Just charged it up so maybe give it a try in the morning. Impressed with the build quality and seems to have decent battery life too.
