Toolkit looks good, and the socks are great (had mine for a few years and as good as new, best cycling socks I have and also the cheapest)

I'm a bit concerned about the positioning of the 'portable toilet' - surely the middle of a field is not where it should be

I've had that kit for a couple of years. Nothing broken yet, and most tools that you'll need.

What can you not do with the tool set? Are they the kind of things I'd only entrust an LBS to do anyway?

cable cutter?

Yep - the spoke key is a bit rubbish too, get a "Spo-key" type. The BB tool isn't quite as good as the one Cyclo make. No tool for Hollowtech bbs, or campag splined stuff...

With that said, it's an excellent start to your home workshop though, and the tools are still going strong here.

Regularly available side cutters at Lidl and Aldi. I have some I've had for several years and still work well on brake and gear cable. When they don't I know I can can get another pair cheap (couple of quid). Not needed to replace them yet. Not used every week only a couple of times a year if unlucky:angel:.

The £3.99 chain cleaner looks like exactly the same one I bought from PBK a month or so ago.

Good value at that price.
Can you post a link.

Thanks for the link Pete. Lidl for whatever reason wont be selling the chain cleaner at my local stores and their "specials" list is store specific. It's a shame as well because I quite fancy a chain cleaner.
I just checked and Ebay do the same chain cleaner for £6.

Do these types of chain cleaner work ok??

Yeah, they are pretty good. Some folk think they are a bit fiddly to set up and use but they certainly do a good job and give your chain a thorough cleaning.

This was the Probike Kit one I bought, still selling at £7.02 :-

Very similar to the Lidl one although the PBK one I think has a slightly better brush wheel arrangement and design, kinda like the Park Tools one.

London Road, Liverpool, of course. Do try to keep up. Don't you remember what he said only 6 months back?

Honestly.

HAHA! Excuse me, lapse of concentration there. Why of course it is Liverpool, and what a great city she is.
