Serious bike box - Thule 836000 - £265.40 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thule-TH8360-836000-Bike-Case/dp/B001CODPZK

Just bought one for our Easter in Majorca.

For some reason didn't fancy buying one for £227.44 + whatever delivery costs from these guys - http://www.roofracksupermarket.co.uk/thule-836000-bike-case-part-no-836.html

Call it a hunch!

What PBK - as it is under "The Hut" group - do is advertise ridiculous prices -get a load of people to sign up trying to buy. Take all their payment and ID details. Then, just as you are expecting a dispatch message, instead let you know they got the price wrong and will be refunding you within the week.

I'm not sure whey people keep falling for The Hut and PBK.....

Well, I do - it's because people are idiots!

What amazes me is that people actually do not know about the appalling experience is when shopping with The Hut and then hilariously question my motives. All I am doing, as an experienced online buyer and seller is pointing out the worst buying experiences I have had, consistently - LOL!

If you choose to not look into The Hut and it's level of "service" before you buy - more fool you!
I am puzzled, as if they did that it would just be wasting their own time and money. And I have used them dozens of times, never had that sort of problem, or any problem

Yes, strange comments about the Hut.
I have partaken in quite a few of their offers, some bike stuff and some non bike stuff.

So far for this idiot everything has been A1.

I bought some bib shorts last year from thehut and they sent the wrong size out and it took 2 months to get it sorted. No phone number 1-2 weeks to reply to each email. Took hours to find an email address for them. Carp service. On the other hand I have bought several things from PBK (also thehutgroup) like bike lube, high5 etc and not had a problem (maybe its easier to get the wrong item with clothing). Wouldn't like to buy any clothes from PBK just in case the same monkey packs my order and screws it up.

I buy about 50% of my bike kit from PBK and never had an issue with the remainder coming from Wiggle and Evans. I recently just bought the clothing bundle and everything was the size I ordered so will continue. With everyone there's always a chance of errors and the only place I've had a misplaced order from is Planet X where they sent me the wrong light but that was quickly solved by the next day. Guess I've been very lucky with all my orders.

Gently thinking about a 29er (not yet though) spoke to LBS about it and they suggested I need to spend £600 to get a cracking one with hydraulic brakes, adjustable shocks etc..... However just looked on Halfords website and found this
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...ngId=-1&productId=982171&catalogId=10151#tab3

It possibly falls in to B.S.O territory but looks a bit better than normal supermarket fodder and at £100 probably a bargain

Not buying one myself but it made me look and I thought someone on here might be thinking about a cheap 29er
