I do not know about buisness but I would think that anyone considering a 1000 (this figure was mentioned in an earlier post) jackets at say 15-20 each ? an invesment of
20 ish thousand would be one not to be taken lightly.
A poster mentioned earlier of adding an extra £10 to the jacket and thetherfore making an extra 10k. I disagree, at £39 99 I bought one even though I have several other jackets, at £50 I would not, I think this has been a very shrewed buisness move.

I agree - I have countless jackets, but thought for £39.99 ill get this one as its a bargain 67% off RRP. Just ordered a small -am hoping it fits now...

You would need a wheel thats compatible with gears assuming your rear drop outs have the spacing to fit the wheel in as the axle width has got steadlily bigger as the number of gears has increased.

The old Claud Butler is almost a liability as I don't have time to do anything to sort it, would like a road bike, but don't want to spend much

I don’t know if this is a bargain but while looking for somewhere that will sandblast the paint off my bike I found this. http://www.manchestershotblasting.co.uk/ So if you are in the Manchester area and want your steel frame stripping down to the metal then Manchester Shotblasting will do it for £25, ready for your restoration project.
I imagine it would cost more than that to buy all the chemicals and sand paper etc plus the hours of labour it will take.
