You might have to hope your medium fits OK - I went for a spin in the jacket this afternoon and I've noticed I managed to get a small oil stain from the chain on the front somehow DOH! Tried to clean it gently with fairy liquid but no joy..

D'oh indeed! I've oil stains on sleeves & cuffs, but not managed to grease the body. Still, now that it's lived-in, you can quit worrying about the size and just use it without concern.

Sadly, I can also bear witness to the robust construction of the jacket - I fell off today skidding along on my shoulder on the tarmac but apart from a hole in the elbow it held together pretty well which is more than could be said for its owner! Good jacket get one at this price!

If you've got oil on your jacket, use WD-40. It will get oil off everything. Just spray liberally before sticking the jacket in for a normal wash. You probably should then wash again in a soap based cleaner to restore the water repellency.
