Just one suggestion re. the Clarks pads; loosen the little screw which holds the pad in a little bit before you fit them. They're very tight and whilst it doesn't make much difference now, it will when it comes to trying to remove the screw to fit the extra set of pads in.

Mind you, I tend to get 5000 miles out of a pair of pads and I'm hard on the brakes.

Just looked at my brakes & they don't have a metal cage holder. :S Wasted material from my purchase then. :/

Obviously complete bollos. I have these bought from CRC and they are a great cheap way to get cartridges & spare pads - they look pretty slick too.

I have been using them with 105 calipers and near on 1000 miles and they are going to get pads changed soon - to the red ones that come with them.

Apart from the tall tales - these are a great, cost effective upgrade to cartridges and I can't understand the point in paying £15+ just for bits of rubber when these work very well.
