No, I don't think so. The main difference between the two is that the 500 supports the HRM and cadence sensors. If you're sure you'll never want those then you'd be better off saving some cash and going for the 200Does the 500 offer anything over the 200 when it comes to navigation?

Thanks for the heads up Ian, I hadn't heard about that. I'll make sure I test out the routes feature on mine when it arrives.However, please note that there are reported problems with routes with the 500.
It seems to be the luck of the draw if you get one where the routes works properly

It's usually buggers up on a course/route over 40 miles.
