Got a showerproof cycling top from Lidl in Penge yesterday - just under £8 knocked down from £10 or so. Very small when packed into its own pocket. Maybe not very breathable or ultra waterproof but it has a hood - will be great for messing around on camp as an extra lyer/showerprood top - I lost a great Karrimor Pertex top and the Altura thing I replaced it with is a bit too race-cut for general purpose use. Went for the large size rather than medium which is a bit tent-like but it won't be used for determined riding. Also of course not a disaster if I singe it when cooking.

I think it must be a remainder from a cycling promo I missed a while ago.

A couple of days ago I bought the Garmin 800 performance pack from Amazon at £269.99 with cadence and HRM it's a bargain. The funny thing is that just the unit itself on Amazon is only a couple of pounds cheaper so seems crazy not to go for the pack. I know Handtec are £240 ish including delivery which is the cheapest around but the sensors work out at £60 on their own so all in Amazon is the best buy currently. I was actually just about to buy a used one at £200 so ended up making a better decision thankfully.
